Irma McClaurin is a woman of many talents: activist anthropologist, administrator, consultant, leader, mentor, professor, and writer. She has provided leadership, mentored, made grants, and written poetry, creative non-fiction, and policies, all informed by social justice. She holds both the MA (’89) and PhD (’93) in anthropology and also the MFA (’76) in English all from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
