Black Feminist Archive Trailer

In 2016, when I began to translate the vision of establishing a Black Feminist Archive into a reality, I created this iMovie trailer as a way to gain interest in what I was doing. I have been amazed and deeply humble by the warm reception to the “Irma McClaurin Black Feminist Archive ” (BFA). As we state in the brochure: “There are currently no other interdisciplinary archives of this anticipated magnitude dedicated to Black women in the United States.”  Because my scholarship and writing cuts across the humanities, social sciences, and science, the BFA is interdisciplinary  and  housed at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

It “represents the vision of Dr. Irma McClaurin, an accomplished scholar, anthropologist, former university president, and award-winning writer.”

And I hope you enjoy the trailer.

Du Bois Center and “represents the vision of Dr. Irma McClaurin, an accomplished scholar, anthropologist, former university president, and award-winning writer.”  Enjoy the trailer
